Your 4-Day Valentine's Day Getaway Itinerary
When you arrive at Rovaniemi Airport, your driver will be waiting in the arrivals hall with a sign with your name and will take you to your accommodation. The drive takes about 10 minutes.
Spend the rest of the day settling in. If you arrive early, take a walk along the snowy riverbank or visit the Arktikum museum to learn about Arctic life. Let us know if you'd like to add extra nights or activities to your getaway.
Your Valentine's getaway begins with a drive to a small family-run husky farm, away from the crowded tourist kennels. After a safety briefing, you set off on a private husky safari, gliding through the snowy forest on a sled pulled by an eager team of dogs. Afterward, there is time for cuddles and photos with the huskies.
In the evening, your guide picks you up for a private northern lights tour. Using the latest forecasts and cloud maps, the guide drives to the spots with the best chances of seeing the aurora that night. The northern lights can never be guaranteed, but this tour gives you the best possible chance, and your guide will take photos of the two of you under the night sky.

Today you visit a traditional reindeer farm and meet the herder family. Feed the reindeer, hear how reindeer herding shapes life and culture in Lapland, and take a reindeer sleigh ride through the snowy forest. A professional photographer joins you, so you take home beautiful photos of your day. Afterward, warm up by the open fire with hot drinks and fresh crepes.
In the evening, it's time for a romantic six-course tasting dinner with wine pairing at one of Rovaniemi's finest restaurants. Let us know if you prefer a menu without wine or have any dietary needs.

- Book early — February is one of the busiest months in Lapland, and private tours and aurora cabins are limited, so we recommend booking a few months ahead.

- The northern lights are never guaranteed — they depend on solar activity and clear skies. February and March are among the best months for aurora hunting, with long dark nights and often clearer weather.
