Lapland Christmas Holiday Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Rovaniemi!
Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland, is also known as the hometown of Santa Claus. The city is surrounded by arctic nature, full of Lappish culture and a wide range of activities. On your arrival at the airport a driver will wait for you in the arrivals hall holding a sign with your name on it and will drive you to your accommodation. The journey takes about 10 minutes.
If you arrive early, take a leisurely stroll along the snowy streets and visit the Rovaniemi Art Museum or the Arktikum, which offers fascinating exhibits on Arctic life and history. If you’d like to add any additional tours or activities to your Lapland Christmas Holiday package, please let us know. In the evening, consider a relaxing dinner at one of Rovaniemi’s delightful restaurants, offering both local Lappish cuisine and international dishes
Day 2: Photoshoot in Santa Claus Village
During your visit, a professional photographer will capture this memorable moment in a dedicated photoshoot, resulting in 20 to 30 carefully edited high-quality digital images. After the photoshoot, you’re free to stay in Santa Claus Village and explore the shops, attractions, and surroundings at your own pace.
Day 3: SantaPark VEP Experience, Northern Lights Hunting
Welcome to SantaPark, where you and your family can enjoy a full day of festive fun with Santa, the elves, and all the park’s cheerful characters. This special family package includes entry to SantaPark, a family meeting with Santa, lunch, a printed photo, small gifts, festive treats, and a range of magical experiences for both children and adults. You’ll also have free time to explore all of SantaPark’s attractions at your own pace and take as many photos and videos as you like throughout the day.
Day 4: Husky Safari and Farm Visit, Rovaniemi to Levi Private Transfer
An ideal opportunity to experience the excitement of mushing a dog team with your family. You’ll meet our friendly dogs, receive sled driving instructions, and then embark on an exhilarating dash through the enchanting snowy forest. Following the adventure, there’s time to bond with the dogs, and we’ll gather around a fire for a snack with juice and cookies. This safari is well-suited for families with young children or for those who prefer shorter outdoor activities. To keep you warm and refreshed after the husky safari, we’ll serve hot berry juice.
It’s time to leave Rovaniemi behind and head to Levi. This beautiful fell is one of the largest ski centres and a very popular winter holiday destination in Finland. The ski resort offers slopes suitable for beginners, intermediate skiers and even experts. The area is also perfect for cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and other fun winter activities. The region has also produced some of Finland’s finest artists so you can find a few art galleries and museums worth visiting there as well. The duration of the journey is about 2.5 hours.
Day 5: Searching For Santa Experience, Family Snowmobile Safari
Day 6: Farewell!
Today it’s time to say goodbye and end your trip to Lapland. Your driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you to Kittilä airport for your departing flight.
